About Us

A Greek word that means the right or opportune moment, Kairos represents our view of the current and future market for unmanned ground vehicles (UGVs). From the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) Urban Challenge to the United States Congress mandated that one-third of all military land vehicles be autonomous by 2015 and two-thirds by 2025, UGVs are being implemented not only in military and security operations, but also industrial and agricultural. With the continued growth of the UGV market, we believe that Kairos Autonomi is in the right place, at the right time, for the right reason to deliver superior, cost-effective agnostic autonomy systems for existing vehicles and vessels.

Our Tagline: Altered Thinking™

Kairos Autonomi thinks differently about autonomi. We spell autonomi with an "i" not only as a reminder of the Greek word Kairos (the right or opportune moment), but also to illustrate our different approach to autonomy than other companies. For example, rather than produce a custom-built solution, which requires specialized technology and training that adds to cost and time, our agnostic autonomy systems utilize your existing vehicle supply chain, which reduces the total cost of ownership. Such innovation minimizes cost, allows for compatibility with other technologies and enhances the speed of technical support. It's just one way that Kairos Autonomi uses altered thinking to provide quality, cost-effective solutions.

The two black lines with red arrows represent the Kairos Autonomi initials KA. The arrows also symbolize two unmanned ground vehicles that are following distinct paths on the Earth's surface that keep the vehicles from colliding.
